A Pleasant Place

A Pleasant Place is a site-specific art installation located at 8 Mawarra Street, Chevron Island. The artists of Mint Art House collective, transformed an entire abandoned house into an immersive installation. Responding to the uncertain times that clouded 2020, the work aimed to inspire clarity, reflection and hopefulness to the surrounding neighbourhood and visitors. The installed egg located on the balcony references graffiti tags that originally covered the empty house.
The project was commissioned by BLEACH* Festival 2020.
